Noordung is a pioneer in joining music with cycling. The central part of Noordung Boombox are two 20 watt RMS speakers with a frequency range of 70 Hz – 20 kHz, which are tilted at a 45 degree angle toward the rider. Needless to say, they sound amazing! The speakers wirelessly connect to the rider’s smartphone and play all the music and sounds played on the smartphone. You can use the Boombox while riding as well as when it's detached from the bike, turning it into an excellent portable speaker that you can enjoy in your office, your living room, while sailing, camping, relaxing, etc.

Boombox is catching real time data on air quality wherever you go and it can show you the actual air pollution on your phone through the Noordung app. You can use this information to find the cleanest routes and really enjoy the freshest air available while on the way. The best part about the Boombox is that you can easily detach it from the bike, throw it over your shoulder and take it wherever you go to be always up to date on the quality of your environment.

This is the reason the bike is so light, that you can even use it even without the electric assistance. You can either decide to put more muscle in it or turn on the electric assistance and take it easy. You’re the boss! And when you’re done, you can throw it on your shoulder and easily carry it with you wherever you go.

The electric powered Noordung bike use an ultralight electric motor built into the elegant rear wheel, which was entirely developed by Noordung engineers. The electric motor with integrated electronics, is one of the lightest of its kind in the world. It is also extremely quiet, so that it doesn't interfere with your enjoyment of music. The batteries in the Boombox enable a range of over 50 km. In hybrid mode (a combination of assisted and unassisted pedaling), which is how we feel Noordung bikes should be used, it may increase to over 100 km.
